1340 The Fan NFL Schedule – Week 11
1340 The Fan brings you more NFL games than anyone else in Lubbock all season long. This week is no exception as we bring you three games Sunday that are expected to be the best this weekend.
Green Bay Packers (6-3) at Detroit Lions (4-5), 12:00 p.m.
The Packers stroll into Ford Field in Detroit to take on the Lions for a key NFC Central matchup. The Lions are sitting dead last in the division, but can gain ground in the NFC Wild Card race on Minnesota, who is on their bye week, and the Packers. Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson have finally synced up on the offensive end for the Lions with back to back monster games for Johnson.
Indianapolis Colts (6-3) at New England Patriots (6-3), 3:20 p.m.
Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has been nothing, but sensational in his rookie season out of Stanford. His continuing improvement from Week 1 to now has put the Colts on a four-game winning streak and a solid road to a Wild Card playoff spot. The Patriots are on a three-game winning streak and solid control of the AFC East. This rivalry takes a new turn Sunday in Foxboro.
Baltimore Ravens (7-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3), 7:20 p.m.
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is out for this game with injuries to his ribs and throwing shoulder. Backup Byron Leftwich will take over in his place with running back Rashard Mendenhall expected to come back into the lineup this week. The Ravens put it on the hapless Oakland Raiders 55-20 last week and look to put some distance on the Steelers as they will play each other twice in three weeks.
Chicago Bears (7-2) at San Fransisco 49ers (6-2-1), 7:30 p.m.
The Bears had their six-game winning streak snapped and their starting quarterback Jay Cutler out for the game with a concussion. The 49ers are coming off a tie with NFC West rival St. Louis. Alex Smith is questionable for this game and backup Collin Kapernick will start if Smith can’t go.
