The Texas Tech men's basketball schedule was released yesterday as head coach Tubby Smith announced on Thursday.  Texas Tech will be featured on television for 29 or more games for the fourth consecutive season.  The Red Raiders are expected to have 30 regular season games broadcast on both the FOX and ESPN networks.  A school-record 18 games will be aired on the ESPN family of networks.

"We have another competitive schedule. We are not going to be on the road as much this season as last, which will help us with our young team," said Smith. "We have the opportunity to learn about each other and grow as a team.  There are quite a few dates where we play on the same date as the women. I know the powers that be will help in the transition and work things out."

This year's schedule is packed with home games, as twelve of the fifteen non-conference games are at the newly named United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock.  One of the marquee non-conference games away from Lubbock will be when the Red Raiders head to Baton Rouge to take on LSU on November 18th, which will be televised on ESPN2.  All in all, Texas Tech will face 11 20-game winners from a season ago and 11 squads that advanced to the postseason.
