Sophomore first baseman Eric Gutierrez (pictured on the left) led the way offensively for Tech as he had his second two-home run game of the season while belting his first career grand slam and finishing with a team high six RBI's.

Senior left-handed pitcher Jonny Drozd earned the win pitching four scoreless innings allowing just two hits with three strikeouts.  Drozd became the first Red Raider to be 6-0 in a season since 2011.

With the win, Tim Tadlock and company improve to 37-16 overall on the year heading into their final series.  The team will take the next eight days off from competition as the Red Raiders take spring semester final exams.  Tech will close the regular season hosting a three-game Big 12 series against West Virginia starting on May 15th at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
