The #30 ranked Texas Tech baseball team was back in action on Tuesday as they welcome Abilene Christian to town for a quick midweek game.  Tim Tadlock and company were looking to bounce back from losing two of three games against Oklahoma State this past weekend.  They would do just that as they beat ACU handily by a final score of 19-2.

Texas Tech scored 15 runs in the opening three innings and posted a season-high 21 base hits in the win.  The Red Raiders scored seven runs in the opening frame, sparked by Eric Gutierrez' sixth home run of the season, a three-run shot over the left-center field wall giving Tech a 4-0 lead.  They would never look back as Tech starting pitcher Dylan Dusek allowed just one run in three innings of work with three strikeouts without allowing a walk in the no-decision.  Five Red Raiders pitched out of the bullpen while sophomore right-handed pitcher Dalton Brown earned the win pitching a perfect three-up, three-down seventh inning with a strikeout.

The Red Raiders will be back in action this weekend as they continuing their eight-game home stand when they host Kansas State for a three-game series.  The series opener is set for Friday at 6:30 pm while game two is set for Saturday at 3 pm.  Sunday's series finale is set for a 1:07pm first pitch and can be seen on FOX College Sports.
