Next up on the list of commits you need to know about is De'Quan Bowman.

    Enjoyed success at JUCO level

As the leading receiver on his team, Bowman capped off an impressive two-year stint at Hutchinson where he caught 81 passes for 1,295 yards and 9 touchdowns over the two years including 50 catches for 770 yards and 5 touchdowns this season alone.

    He's a return ace

Bowman recieved NJCAA All-American honorable mention honors as a return specialist after returning 20 kicks for 453 yards and another 19 punts for 189 yards and a touchdown.

He has a chance to start right away

Bowman has expectations for his time at Texas Tech, saying: "I want to go in there and be an immediate impact player."

Well, the departure of Jakeem Grant leaves an opening at the interior H receiver position. The Red Raiders will be in need of a new starter, and Bowman looks to fill those shoes.

He chose Texas Tech over Iowa State

After not being heavily recruited out of high school, Bowman has enjoyed the spoils of being the 13th ranked JUCO WR prospect. He was recruited heavily by ISU, Arizona, Arkansas and Cal before choosing Texas Tech as his landing spot.

Florida State, Georgia and West Virginia all recruited him as well.

    He's fast -- very fast

Bowman is listed as running a 4.36 40-yard dash. That is lightning fast. The benchmark for true speed seems to be 4.4, so when guys get under 4.4 you know that they are real burners. Bowman just needs to carry that speed onto the playing field.
