[UPDATE - 10:49 a.m., Feb. 12] Janet Collins has been located. The Texas DPS has canceled its Silver Alert for her Friday morning.

[Original Story] Thursday, February 11 around 8 p.m., LPD responded to a report of a missing elderly person at the Carillon Retirement Center located at 1717 Norfolk Ave.

Officers were told that family stopped by to visit 82 year-old Janet Dase Collins only to find that she wasn’t home and had not been seen since the evening before.

Police say there is reason to believe that Mrs. Collins is endangered.

Collins is 5’3'' and weighs 93 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a green sweater with blue jeans. She drives a tan 2007 Toyota Sienna with Texas license plate GVT3027.

The Lubbock Police Department urges anyone to come forward with information on the whereabouts of the missing elder.
