The Texas Rangers were unable to complete the sweep of the Atlanta Braves and lost yesterday, 4-2.

Alexi Ogando, who was 7-0, has now lost his last 2 starts on the mound for the Rangers. However, Ogando didn’t get much help from his catcher Yorvit Torrealba who was charged with 2 errors during the 3rd inning.

One was a catcher’s interference call that allowed Jordan Schafer to get on base and the other was a fielder’s interference when he collided with 1st baseman Michael Young on a fly ball that scored Jason Heyward and gave the Braves a 3-0 lead.

Torrealba’s errors bring the Ranger’s total up to 57 which ties the Rangers with division rival Oakland for the most in the majors.

After being down 0-3 heading into the 4th, Torrealba redeemed himself a bit by scoring the Ranger's first run of the game by hitting a deep single to score Nelson Cruz. Josh Hamilton would make it a 1 run game in the 7th on a RBI ground out that scored Ian Kinsler and made it 3-2.

The Braves responded in the bottom half of the 7th with a courtesy run by Freddie Freeman who hit a ground-rule double and give the Dodgers a 2 run cushion.

The Rangers will now head back to Arlington to start the battle of the Silver Boot against the Astros. The Rangers & Astros will hit the diamond tonight @ 7 o’clock.
