The Texas Rangers relied heavily on Alexi Ogando and his three perfect innings, helping lead the Rangers to a 5-0 victory over the San Fransisco Giants. Unfortunately for Ogando, he went down in the fourth inning with a strained groin and is expected to miss time, how much time is currently unknown.

In relief of Ogando, Robbie Ross allowed only a double to pinch-hitter Aubrey Huff. Mike Adams and Joe Nathan combined for a scoreless eight and ninth inning.

Offensively the Rangers were led by Josh Hamilton and Ian Kinsler, who drove in two runs apiece against San Francisco's ace, Tim Lincecum. Lincecum has struggled all season amassing just a 2-7 record on the season with a 6.0 ERA.

Yes the Rangers got the win, but the Rangers have been hit hard by the injury bug. At this point in time, 3 starting pitchers have gone down with injury so far. Hopefully the injury situation sorts itself out, and the Rangers can get back on the winning track.
