The Texas Rangers jumped ahead early and Alexi Ogando had a solid outing as the Texas Rangers completed the sweep of the Baltimore Orioles.

After losing his last 3 starts, Ogando recorded his 9th win on the year. Ogando went 7 innings while giving up 3 runs on 4 hits including 2 home runs. Ogando improves his record to 9-3 on the season with a 2.92 ERA. Ogando now breaks his tie with C.J. Wilson and Colby Lewis for the most wins.

On the offensive side, after taking last night off, the Rangers were red hot. In the 1st inning Adrian Beltre started the night of scoring for the Rangers on a sac fly to left to bring home Ian Kinsler. Michael Young followed up with a double to deep right to score Elvis Andrus. The scoring didn't end there as Nelson Cruz hit a deep single that scored Josh Hamilton and Young. The Rangers had a 4-0 lead after the 1st inning.

The Orioles responded in the 2nd with a deep 2 run homer from Derrek Lee. However the Rangers snapped right back with 4 straight runs in the 5th and 6th innings to make it a 8-2 game.

In the 7th Young scored another run on a single. Mike Naopoli topped off the night for Ranger hitting by sending one over the fences. Napoli sent a 3 run homer over the wall to extend to blow out to 12-3.

The Orioles scored 2 vanity runs and Cruz hit a sac fly in the 8th to finalize the score.

Michael Young had a total of 9 hits over the 3 game series. Young was close to hitting for the cycle in the 1st game before Manager Ron Washington pulled him after he accidentally recording 2 doubles instead of the double and triple he actually had.  The Rangers, as a team, had a. 423 batting average, recorded 30 runs, had 15 doubles and 3 home runs over the 3 game series.
