Gonzaga College High School sophomore Matt Borda never expected to have one the greatest Lacrosse goals of all time when he heaved up a long distance throw. As a matter of fact, Borda was just trying to kill the clock .

Standing behind his own goal, Borda threw up a shot from 80 yards out and sunk what could be a once in a lifetime goal.

Borda and his Gonzaga College High School Purple Eagle teammates were holding on to a one goal lead when the 80 yard shot sank. The Purple Eagles ended up winning 10-8 with Borda’s long shot being the nail in the coffin. With that win, the Purple Eagles claimed their 2nd WCAC title in school history.

It still made for one of the most spectacular goals in lacrosse history. Check it out below and be ready to pick up your jaw after you see it.
