Are You Excited for Major League Baseball’s Opening Day?[FAN Poll of the Day]

The Texas Rangers will start their season today as they welcome the Philadelphia Phillies to town at the newly named Globe Life Park in Arlington.  Texas has had a bit of a rocky off-season as they had a number of players go down with injuries, the most notable being ace right-hander Yu Darvish, who was scratched as opening day starter March 25th citing a stiff neck as the issue.  So instead of Darvish, the Rangers will go with 27-year-old Tanner Scheppers, whose previous 115 Major League appearances have all been in relief. He won a spot in the rotation late in Spring Training on the basis of a strong Cactus League, then received a battlefield promotion when Darvish was sidelined.  Scheppers will be the first pitcher to make his first Major League start on Opening Day since Fernando Valenzuela with the Dodgers in 1981.  First pitch for today’s game is set for 1:05pm and can be seen on FOX Sports SW.  That brings us to our FAN poll of the day.
