Arizona jumped all over Florida State early Thursday in Omaha, eliminating the Seminoles with a 10-3 win and advancing to the College World Series championship series.

It’s Arizona’s 7th appearance in the College World Series championship series in school history, winning three titles.

The Wildcats scored six in the first, chasing the Seminoles freshman starting pitcher Brandon Leibrandt (8-3) in just a third of an inning after he gave up six runs, two earned, off three hits while walking two and striking out none.

Right-hander Kurt Heyer (13-2) picked up the win for Arizona pitching 7.1 innings, giving up two runs, both earned, off nine hits, striking out three and walking three.

Arizona moves into the championship series, which begins Sunday. They will face either Arkansas or two-time defending champion South Carolina. If the Gamecocks want to make it back into the title series they will have to defeat the Razorbacks twice.
