Arizona State Hires Former Texas Tech Coach Chris Thomsen

A former Interim Head Coach at Texas Tech has found a new job in a new conference.

The Arizona State Sun Devils have hired former Texas Tech offensive lineman coach Chris Thomsen to coach running backs.

Thomsen served as the Interim Head Coach for Tech in the bowl win over Minnesota last month.

Thomsen was previously the Head Coach at Abilene Christian University where he compiled a 51-21 record over seven seasons with six appearances in the NCAA Division II playoffs.

Thomsen was originally hired to be part of Todd Graham’s staff at Arizona State in December of 2011, but left in February of 2012 to join the staff at Texas Tech.
