"Feldman, I thought, had to battle his command the entire night," Astros manager A.J. Hinch said. "Obviously, he pitched to the defense very well with a couple of double plays that were big”.

Feldman (4-4) held the O’s to just one run on four hits in six innings of work.

"I had little spurts there tonight where I wasn't too good, but fortunately at the right time made some good pitches and got them to hit it right at guys, and they made some nice turns out there," Feldman said.

Luke Gregerson worked a perfect ninth, striking out two, to pick up his 13th save of the season.

Houston entered the contest having scored a major-league-best 81 late inning (7th inning or later) runs, and they continued to work their late-inning magic Tuesday.

Chris Carter and Jason Castro had RBI hits in the seventh and Luis Valbuena added a two-run single in the eight.

Baltimore’s only run of the game came in the sixth inning on a Chris Davis sacrifice fly.

Baltimore has scored two or fewer runs in three of their past four games seven runs in the last 40 innings

Chris Tillman (2-6), making it to the seventh inning for just the second time on the season, allowed just the two earned runs, both in the seventh, on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts.

The series concludes with game three at 3:35 pm Wednesday. Houston is slated to send Collin McHugh (5-2, 4.06 ERA) to the mound and Baltimore is expected to send Ubaldo Jimenez (3-3, 2.82) to the hill.

You can hear the contest on Sports Radio 1340 beginning with “Astro’s Lauch” pre-game show  at 3:10 p.m.
