Three winning tickets for the biggest Powerball in history have been sold.

The winners are in California, Tennessee, and in Florida. The California Lottery also reported that there were 12 other tickets that matched five of the six numbers.

The official winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven on Chino Hills Parkway. The store will be given a million dollars as a bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The incredible jackpot, which nearly reached $1.6 billion, was the result of 20 drawings with no winners. The jackpot started in early November at $40 million.

People celebrating the winning ticket have gathered as a crowd outside the California store where the ticket was sold. The winner numbers were: 4-8-19-27-34, and the Powerball number was 10.

The winners will share the money, $1.568 billion. They can take their earnings either as an annuity or as a lump-sum payment, which comes out to $983.5 million total.

"Losers" who still matched five of the six numbers for the "Power Play" received two million dollars.
