Craig Smoak of ESPN 1660 in Waco first reported the firing on Thursday morning as the Baptist university has been embroiled in controversy over possible coverups of alleged violence and other misdeeds by former and current football players.
Baylor expected to release announcement at 11am dismissing HC Art Briles.

The firing comes after Baylor launched an investigation from a third-party law firm to assess the violence allegations against the athletic department. Many speculate that the forthcoming report is more damning than could have possibly been imagined.
