We have our latest video parody cover to hit the inter-webs, this time coming in the form of the Big Ten’s mascots singing Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”.

I don’t know why this makes me laugh so much but I can’t help it, I have a child like sense of humor.

The video features mascots from seven of the conference's schools: Iowa (Herky the Hawk), Michigan State (Sparty), Minnesota (Goldy Gopher), Nebraska (Herbie Husker and Lil' Red), Ohio State (Brutus Buckeye), Penn State (Nittany Lion) and Wisconsin (Bucky Badger).

Indiana, Illinois and Michigan were not included because those schools don't have animated mascot characters. Purdue and Northwestern did not participate.

After watching it I’m convinced Nebraska brought in ringers to play the role of the cheerleaders. There can’t be that many good-looking ladies roaming that campus can there?

Fox Sports has the back story on how this gem came to be.

Apparently "Call Me Maybe" has been No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for the past five weeks. FIVE WEEKS. I cry for my generation…
