There is yet another twist in the drama surrounding Texas Tech Red Raider Men’s Basketball Coach Billy Gillispie.

The embattled coach returned Friday evening to Lubbock after a brief stay in Rochester, MN at the Mayo Clinic according to a report from KAMC-TV in Lubbock.

Gillispie has yet to meet Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt since allegations of player mistreatment during practice. Hocutt and Gillispie were slated to meet on August 31st, but Gillispie checked himself into University Medical Center for high blood pressure before the two could meet.

Gillispie was then released after a seven day stay, but then this past Wednesday he departed for the Mayo Clinic. Hocutt told RedRaiders.com earlier this week that Gillispie was not engage the program until he and Gillispie meet.

Assistant Head Coach Chris Walker is running the day to day operations of the program until the allegations and investigation of Gillispie have been completed.
