Bo Altobelli went four for five on the night hitting a double and scoring a run, but his efforts weren't enough as the Texas Tech Red Raiders fell to the New Mexico Lobos 10-3. The loss was just the second midweek loss for the Red Raiders all season long. Pitcher Rusty Shellhorn took the loss for the Red Raiders bringing him to 4-2 on the season. Shellhorn pitched five innings giving up six runs on six hits while giving up 2 walks.

Oddly enough, Texas Tech and New Mexico had the same number of hits, 12 each, but the Red Raiders couldn't seem to string hits together consistently enough to score. Nine Tech players had hits on the night, but only Bo Altobelli managed a multi-hit game.

Texas Tech and New Mexico will rap up their series with a 1pm first pitch today.
