Body of Missing Child Found in Buffalo Springs Lake

buffalo-easter-picCity of Lubbock sources tell KFYO News that the body of the missing child from Sunday’s boating accident at Buffalo Springs Lake has been located.

Texas Game Warden Capt. Aryn Corley said Sunday evening that authorities were searching for a child that was unaccounted for after two vessels collided on Buffalo Springs Lake.

Corley said an age hadn’t been confirmed for the child or whether the child was wearing a life jacket.

Search and rescue crews were working this morning at the lake for the second consecutive day when they discovered the body.

At this time, the child is the only known fatality in the accident. At least nine other people were transported to Lubbock hospitals to assess their injuries.
