The series was dominated by offense, as the Houston Astros lost both games to the Colorado Rockies, 9-7 and 7-6 respectively.

In the second game of the double header, Dexter Fowler smacked a triple off of Brett Myers in the tenth inning to get the 7-6 win for the Rockies. Fowler's hit went screaming down the first base line by Carlos Lee as the ball shot for the right field corner, giving Michael Cuddyer enough time to score from first.

The win was huge for the Rockies as they have been 6-18 so far in the month of may, pushing them to a dismal 19-29 record, made even worse considering where they could have been. The Astros are a much improved 22-27 this season.
