The injury was diagnosed in Columbia and will be examined further when the team returns to Lubbock following the Red Raiders weekend series against Missouri. The extent of McGruder’s availability for the weekend series and for the remainder of the season has yet to be determined, but the sophomore did miss the series opening 11-1 loss on Friday and was not in the staring line-up for Saturday’s contest.

McGruder is among national leaders with 28 stolen bases, a .470 on-base percentage, a .293 (51-for-174) batting average with 38 runs, three doubles, four triples, two home runs, and 29 RBI’s. His 28 stolen bases, .470 on-base percentage and four triples are also tops among the Red Raiders.
