The Houston Astros sent starter Bud Norris to the mound last night in hopes that he would continue his hot streak against the St. Louis Cardinals.  Norris has took on the Cardinals more than any other team in the Majors, with an 8-5 record and a 2.72 ERA in 15 career games.  St. Louis' starter Adam Wainwright and company had other plans though as they defeated the Astros 9-5 on Tuesday night.

Wainwright was able to hold Houston to only one run on five hits while striking out nine in seven innings of work.  Bud Norris (Pictured on the Right) on the other hand could only lasted five innings while giving up seven runs on eleven hits.  Norris drops to 6-8 on the year with the loss but his offense did little to help him. Houston was only able to score one run for the first eight innings and by the time the offense came alive in the ninth it was too little too late.

The Astros will look to split the midweek series with the Cardinals as they face off for the last time this year.  First pitch is set for tonight at 7:15 pm from Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
