Two Texas Tech students have created an app called Caddy Delivery (available on the App Store) that allows you to order food and have it delivered right to your door.

Brandon Wasson, 20, and Austin Turner, 22, have made what they're calling Lubbock's first food delivery service app.

Wasson had the idea while he was in high school, but had to wait until he found Turner, who is a self-taught coder.

They launched the app February 3, 2016 after 10 months of work.

After downloading the app and creating an account, you can choose from many of Lubbock's most popular restaurants and the food will be delivered within 40 minutes. A third party handles credit card information for safety and privacy.

"If you want Las Brisas steak or Taco Bell Doritos Locos Tacos or Orlando's spaghetti," Wasson said. "Anything you want, we'll go get."

Much like Uber, anyone can sign up to be a driver in their spare time to make money from tips and delivery fees.

Caddy Delivery stands out from other apps of its kind. With many features like the ability to order as a group and pay separately, Wasson and Turner have made the app extremely user-friendly and hope to make Lubbock a safer place.

"We feel that this app could prevent people from getting in their car after the bar or drinking in their house and putting everyone at risk including themselves." Wasson said. "They can just use our app and keep everyone safe and everyone's happy."

You can download the Caddy Delivery app from Apple iTunes Store for free.
