Following Texas Tech Red Raider Football's 5-7 season, head coach Tommy Tuberville is apparently ready to make changes to his staff.

CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman an hour ago reported the following via his Twitter feed:

@BFeldmanCBS Bruce Feldman
Hearing Tommy Tuberville canned three assistants today at Texas Tech: OL coach Matt Moore, Otis Mounds & Sam McElroy.
In response to Feldman's tweet, Texas Tech Athletics released the following statement:

Texas Tech Head Football Coach Tommy Tuberville is in the process of making changes to his current football coaching staff.  Those changes and new additions to the coaching staff will be announced early next week.  Until that time, there will be no further comment from Coach Tuberville or Texas Tech University.

McElroy has spent two seasons with the Red Raiders coaching the defensive line.  Moore was one of the last links to Mike Leach's tenure at Tech as he spent the last five season with the Red Raiders.  The 2011 season was Mounds first as a full-fledged assistant coach as he coached the Red Raiders cornerbacks.  In 2010 Mounds was a defensive graduate assistant for Coach Tuberville.
