Texas Tech Red Raider Football is now (7-3, 4-3) on the season after beating Kansas in double-overtime last week. Senior defensive back D.J. Johnson joined Scott Fitzgerald for this week's "Chain Gang Report" on SportsRadio 1340 The Fan.

For this first time this season, Johnson is the 'keeper of the chain' after leading the defense in tackles against Kansas. Johnson had 9 tackles and 1 assist.

This Saturday, the Red Raiders are on the road playing at Oklahoma State. A win would help position Tech for a Valero Alamo Bowl berth. Johnson talked about what the defense needs to do to stop Cowboy running back Joseph Randle, "Be physical. Be aggressive. And don't let him do what he likes to do (with the ball)."

Last season's 66-6 loss to Oklahoma State is still in the minds of the Red Raiders and Johnson said a performance like that won't happen again.
