The Dallas Cowboys will more than likely be taking on the Houston Texans this Sunday without one of their starting linebackers.  Bruce Carter who didn’t practice Wednesday, expects to be sidelined 10 to 14 days after suffering a quadriceps strain Sunday in the victory over New Orleans. “I rehab all day pretty much,” he said.  “Ice and elevation and compression and pretty much the same cycle over and over.  Get some of this swelling out.”

If Carter (picture on the right) cant go, Kyle Wilber is expected to replace him as the strong-side linebacker with Rolando McClain assuming Carter’s role in the nickel package. The injury comes at an inopportune time for Carter, who has made 18 tackles, deflected three passes and returned an interception for a touchdown in the last two games.

“I think Carter is a good healer,” owner Jerry Jones remarked on KRLD-FM (105.3). “Some people just heal faster than others, so we’ll want to keep a close eye on him.”  Kickoff for Dallas' match up against Houston is set for noon from AT&T Stadium in Arlington and can be seen on CBS.
