After losing two weeks in a row, the Dallas Cowboys return to the win column by beating the Carolina Panthers 19-14.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was 24 of 34 for 227 yards and one touchdown.  Running back Felix Jones had 15 carries for 44 yards.  Wide Receiver Miles Austin had five catches for 97 yards and the only Dallas touchdown in the game.  Kicker Dan Bailey kicked four field goals in the game including a 28-yarder with 3:25 remaining in the game to make the score 19-14.

Dallas might have had some inspirartion for this weeks game when coach Jason Garrett brought in former Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs to give the team a pep talk during the team’s chapel service on Saturday.

On the other side of the ball, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was 21 of 37 for 233 yards with one touchdown and one interception.  He was also the team’s leading rusher with six carries for 64 yards.

The Cowboys return home next week to take on division rival New York Giants in a rematch of the opening game of the season.  The Cowboys won that game 24-17 with the help of Kevin Ogletree’s eight catches for 114 yards and two touchdown performance.  Kickoff is at 3:25 p.m.
