Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant has been arrested on a charge of domestic violence. The DeSoto Police Department, a small suburb to the south of Dallas, confirmed that Bryant was arrested Monday on a charge stemming from an incident that occurred the previous Saturday.

Bryant has had issues off the field in the past, but all indications this off season seemed to indicate that Bryant had turned things around, and found ways to stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, the recent domestic violence charge seems to contradict this notion.

Bryant turned himself in after discovering he had a warrant for his arrest, and is free after posting $1,500 in bond. If Bryant were to be convicted, the charge is punishable by up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
