Wednesday afternoon, Houston Astros ace, Dallas Keuchel improved his record to (3-0) as the Astros beat the San Diego Padres 7-2.

Keuchel pitched eight strong innings in the win. He struck out four, gave up three hits, no walks and one run. Keuchel's ERA slightly increased to 0.73.

Colby Rasmus hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to provide some pop for the Astros offense. Jose Altuve also hit two RBI in the win.

Even though it wasn't a save situation Astros closer Luke Gregerson came in and pitched the ninth inning to complete the win.

The Astros have now won six consecutive games and nine out of their last 10. Their (14-7) record is good for first place in the American League West and tied for the second best record in the American League. They have a 4 game lead over both the A's and Mariners.

The Astros start a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners Thursday night at Minute Maid Park in Houston. First pitch is at 7:10p, with AstroLaunch at 6:45p, and you can hear the game on SportsRadio 1340 The Fan.
