Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki has bumped up his workout regimen per the Dallas Morning News as the All-Star forward continues to recover from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Tuesday marks one-month to the date of his surgery. The original timetable was three-to-six weeks before a return to the hardwood.

“I’m not going to talk about that because it’s not my department,” coach Rick Carlisle said. “He’s picked up his activity, but it’s not my place. Again, I would expect he’d probably talk to you guys sometime soon. In the meantime, we got to soldier on without him.”

The exact date of Nowitzki’s return remains up in the air. The Mavericks are 6-6 on the year thus far without him. Dallas host the one-loss Knicks Wednesday night before concluding the week’s action on Saturday at home against the Lakers.
