Yu Darvish, the Japanese pitching phenom that has the Texas Rangers fan base incensed at the potential he brings to the table got his first loss of the season. Even in the loss, Darvish threw a new career high, 11 strikeouts in six innings. Indians pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez stole the show however as he pitched seven scoreless innings, propelling the Indians to the 4-2 victory.

Darvish pitched well enough to keep them in the game, but the Rangers did not provide him with any run support whatsoever. Kinsler in a sense lost the game for the Rangers when he lost a pop fly in the sun that landed just a few feet from him. The pop that Kinsler could not field eventually led to three runs scored in that inning.

The Rangers made a comeback bid in the 8th inning scoring two runs off two singles from Josh Hamilton and Michael Young. Chris Perez came in for the Indians however and shut down any hope the Rangers had of winning the game pitching a perfect 9th inning.

What do you think of Darvish so far this season?
