Texas Tech running back DeAndre Washington confirmed what most of us already knew: that Texas Tech fans know how to get loud.

Despite the team's narrow loss to TCU Saturday, Washington said the crowd at Jones AT&T Stadium knows how to show them some love.

During a post-game interview where he received the Red Raider Game Ball, Washington discussed what it's like playing in Lubbock and what to expect from the Red Raiders when they take on Baylor.

"The atmosphere was great, you know, what I expected from my fans," Washington said. "They always put on a show."

Washington said that despite the team's efforts against TCU, they just came up "a play or two short."

"I'm proud of the effort we played with, we fought hard all the way until the clock hit 0:0," he said.

With Texas Tech's game against Baylor looming, Washington said the tough loss to TCU won't affect them.

"We played [Baylor] to a tough game last year," said Washington. "These guys will be motivated, we'll be ready to go come next week."

Texas Tech takes on Baylor Saturday, Oct. 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. One week later, the Red Raiders return to Lubbock to play Iowa State.
