Deron Williams Has Jersey Retired After 15 Games With Besiktas [VIDEO]

NBA star Deron Williams accomplished something in just 15 games that most players will never be able to achieve during a ten year career. Williams had his jersey retired in Turkey after playing only 15 games with Besiktas.

Besiktas honored Williams who signed with the team and played with them during the NBA lockout. Williams was the only high profile NBA player to make the jump to a European team after the lockout started.

During his 15 games with Besiktas, Williams average 21.8 PPG and 6.5 APG. Terrific numbers for a player that has only been in the European league for only 15 games.

Williams will now return to America with the NBA lockout coming to an end. Though he'll be playing this season in the NBA, Williams did not rule out a possible return to Turkey someday. We don't know if his return to will be to play or just for vacation. Time will tell.
