The arrest came hours after Texas Tech’s 49-14 blowout win over then No. 5 West Virginia Saturday afternoon in Lubbock. Gallington was released on $500 bond Sunday and will play this Saturday in Fort Worth against No. 23 TCU.

This arrest comes after Texas Tech Linebacker Daniel Cobb was reinstated to the team after the Lubbock County District Attorney’s office dropped charges of burglary of a habitation stemming from an incident in August. Cobb will be available to play this week against the Horned Frogs. The Junior linebacker from Killeen had 70 tackles last season in only 7 games.
