Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not just winning in the ring these days, but also when it comes to bets. The Las Vegas Review-Journal is reporting that the champion placed a $1M bet against NFL darling Tim Tebow. It just so happens that it turned out to be a smart bet for Mayweather.

Mayweather is a frequent gambler when it comes to games and it's reported that he placed a $1M bet against Tim Tebow and the Broncos when they played the New England Patriots. The media had hyped the match up between the two teams (more precisely the two quarterbacks) for weeks leading up to the game.

If it's true then Mayweather received a big payday as the Patriots destroyed the Broncos in their match up earlier this month 41-23.

Mayweather could be enjoying a big pay day before he is set to serve 90 days in jail for domestic violence charges. He'll report on January 6th to begin serving his sentence.
