Did Lane Kiffin Deserve to Get Fired by USC? [FAN Poll of the Day]
The University of Southern California is one that for the past few decades has been known for their football program. That all took a turn for the worse as soon as Lane Kiffin was named head coach. The Trojans are just 28-15 in his four seasons under Kiffin and their offense was less than stellar despite the amount of talent on the roster.
Kiffin is being let go just a year removed from being ranked #1 in some preseason polls last season. His teams were wildly recognized as very talented but to a point undisciplined as his offense ranked last in the PAC 12 in more than a few categories, passing yards and points per game to name a few.
His termination came less than six hours after a blowout loss to Arizona State on Saturday as athletic director Pat Haden met coach Kiffin when the team landed in LAX late that night. The final score of Saturday’s contest was 62-41. Ed Orgeron was picked as USC’s interim head coach to finish out the final eight games of the season. That brings us to our FAN poll of the day.
