Seth Doege threw for 401 yards and five touchdowns to lead Texas Tech  to a 59-13 victory against New Mexico on Saturday in during two lightning delays in Albuquerque, NM.

Doege tied a school record by completing his first 15 passes en route to finishing 40 for 44 — a 90.9 completion percentage, a national record for quarterbacks with at least 40 completions.

Darrin Moore caught nine passes for 118 yards and three touchdowns for the Red Raiders (2-0). Eric Ward had two TD receptions.

Deon Long had three catches for 139 yards for the Lobos (0-3), including a 69-yarder to set up their only touchdown. New Mexico has been outscored 127-26 this season.

Texas Tech amassed 624 yards of offense.
