Rock The Red: A Jennie Bailey Brain Cancer Benefit

Nashville country music artist Billy Dawson will take the stage and join forces with hundreds of former Texas Tech football players and friends at the Rock The Red: A Jennie Bailey Brain Cancer Benefit set for Saturday, April 12, 2014, in Lubbock.

For 28 years, Jennie Bailey has helped raise the student-athletes of the Texas Tech football program, giving each one someone to have as a second mom while away at school.Bailey has touched countless lives throughout her time with the Texas Tech athletic department. All these years later, those lives simply hope to return the favor.

The Spring Football event is open to the public and fans can expect a special performance by Dawson along with appearances from former Texas Tech football players and coaches. All proceeds from Rock The Red benefit the Jennie Bailey Cancer Fund; instead of tickets, attendees are asked to contribute a $10 cash donation at the door. Fans should arrive early, as last year’s event reached capacity. Doors open to the public at 8pm.
