“It’s to remember those who are gone yesterday,” that was what one father told his son in France about the memorial of flowers and candles to those lost in the terrorist attack on France.

France and all of Europe continues to reel after the terrorist attacks on Friday, November 13.

President Francois Hollande declared war on ISIS in reaction to the bombing and shooting and ramped up military action in Iraq and Syria, as well as extending a state of emergency.

At the same time however, citizens are congregating to remember those that were taken and reflect on peace. France’s Le Petit Journal was able to capture a man explaining why they will remain in France.
