More People Behaving Badly on Airplanes: Fight Breaks Out on Southwest Airlines Flight [Video]

We’ve heard about all the shenanigans that have been going on with airlines with passengers. Now, it’s Dallas-based Southwest Airlines’ turn to break the fights up.

A flight that was based out of Dallas wound up hosting an impromptu boxing match when it landed in Burbank, California Tuesday. Two men got into a fight while the plane was taxiing to the gate.

According to The Consumerist, a passenger on the flight said: “Everyone was de-planing, then all heck broke loose.”

Southwest agents tried to intervene in the fight. One man was slightly injured and allowed to continue on his way, while the other was charged with battery and is enjoying the Burbank jail.

Southwest released this statement:

Our employees are our everyday heroes and are trained to de-escalate conflict while delivering heartfelt hospitality on nearly 4,000 flights to nearly the half-million customers who fly Southwest every day

Congrats to Southwest for handling this one correctly.
