After weeks of speculation and denial from the Texas Tech Football program the rumors are true and Defensive Coordinator Chad Glasgow is no longer with the Red Raiders.

Texas Tech Football Spokesman Blayne Beal told Don Williams of redraiders.com that, "Texas Tech and Chad Glasgow have come to a mutual agreement that he will no longer remain on the Texas Tech football coaching staff and we will begin the process immediately to find his replacement."

Glasgow came to Texas Tech from TCU where the Horned Frogs were one of the top defensive units in the country for three consecutive seasons, but that success could not be translated at Texas Tech or in the Big 12 Conference.

Texas Tech ranked last in rushing defense, 113th in pass defense, and 117th in scoring out of 120 Football Bowl Subdivision schools.

Texas Tech will be looking to hire its fourth defensive coordinator in as many seasons and fifth coordinator in seven seasons as Lyle Setencich was fired in early 2007, Ruffin McNeal took over from 2007 through 2009 until Mike Leach was fired, James Willis in 2010 and Chad Glasgow in 2011.
