The Republican Primary runoff for Lubbock County Judge is bringing some former politicians out of the woodwork. Gary Boren and Curtis Parrish are vying for the Republican nomination for Lubbock County Judge and the winner will secure the office in the November general election with no major opponents against them.

Well, the former politicians who have come out of the woodwork over the past week are former Lubbock mayors David Miller (pictured above, left) and Glen Robertson (pictured above, right).

On Wednesday, former Lubbock Mayor David Miller took to Facebook to make an endorsement in the race between Boren and Parrish.

In case you can't read former mayor David Miller's Facebook post supporting Parrish, it reads, "Four years after Jayne Ann died in 2012, I was fortunate to marry another wonderful woman. For our new journey together we moved to Horseshoe Bay in the hill country. I miss Lubbock, but love where we live now, too.

"I say all that to emphasize that though I may not have a vote in Lubbock County any longer, I do have children, grandchildren, sisters and their families, and my mother.

"It is on their behalf that I agree with Kim Trainor Davis in this important election. I urge you to support Curtis Parrish in his bid for County Judge," said Miller.

Last Saturday, on May 12, former Lubbock mayor Glen Robertson also made an endorsement in the race between Boren and Parrish; supporting Boren.

In case you can't read the Facebook post Robertson posted in support of Boren, it simply read: "I proudly endorse GARY BOREN for Lubbock County Judge and encourage you to join me in voting for Gary," said Glen Robertson.
