Steelers practice.

There is no official word from the Pittsburgh organization on the extent of Batch's injury, but early indications don't appear to be good. Scott Brown of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review wrote that a "popping sound" could be heard at the end of Batch's run.

The injury was apparently a non-contact one, and it happened on the turf field the Steelers have been forced to practice on due to the regular fields being too wet to. Batch pulled up limping at the end of the run, and immediately waved over the Steelers' training staff.

The Steelers weren't counting on Batch as they have plenty of RB depth with Rashard Mendenhall, Isaac Redman and Mewelde Moore, but he had been a feel good story so far for the AFC Champs.
