Former Coach Steve Sloan joined Jack and Rodney Allison on Thursday's edition of Jack Dale's Sportsline.

The guys talked about some of their fondest memories of Coach Sloan's tenure at Tech and their great 10-2 season in 1976 when the split their first Southwest Conference title in Tech history.

Sloan coached the Red Raiders from 1975-1977 where he compiled a career record of 23-12. While at Tech he also brought in Bill Parcells as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.

During his a career as a collegiate coach, Sloan was offensive coordinator at Florida State in 1971. Offensive coordinator at Georgia Tech in 1972. Head Coach at Vanderbilt from 1973-1974. After his time at Tech, he was head coach at Ole Miss from 1977-1982 and finished his career as head coach of Duke from 1983-1986.

In total, he was 68-86-3 during his coaching career and was 0-2-1 at bowl games.
