FOX Sports Southwest Touts Large Ratings in Yu Darvish’s Near-Perfect Game

A day after Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish nearly pitched a perfect game against the Houston Astros, FOX Sports Southwest is touting Darvish's power in the Nielsen's.

According to FOX Sports Southwest, Yu Darvish’s near-perfect game Tuesday night against the Houston Astros on FOX Sports Southwest scored a 5.2 rating and was the most-watched program in Dallas-Fort Worth from 9:15-10:15 p.m.

The final hour of the game averaged a 7.7 rating making it the No. 1 program in Dallas-Fort Worth during that time period with an audience of 199,500 homes. The telecast peaked with an 8.3 rating/214,300 homes from 9:45-10:00 p.m.

Tuesday’s game was the first of 127 Rangers telecasts scheduled on FOX Sports Southwest this season.

FOX Sports Southwest's telecasts of the Rangers are now being seen in the Houston and Gulf Coast regions of Texas after the Astros moved to Comcast SportsNet Houston for 2013.
