Texans and New York Jets bowed out of the corner-backs sweepstakes. The signing of Asaomugha was announced after the Eagles already confirmed the signings of defensive end Jason Babin, tight end Donald Lee and wide receiver Johhnie Lee Higgins.

The Jets may have been the biggest losers in the Asomugha love affairs, as they put all their free agents operations on hold in an attempt to land the former Raiders and pair him with All-Pro Darrelle Revis. The Jets are believed to be turning their attention back to re-signing free agent Antonio Cromartie, who started last season opposite of Revis.
