The Houston Astros completed the three game sweep of the Chicago Cubs today with a 3 to 1 victory. Houston’s Brett Myers got the start and allowed just one run off three hits over six innings of work while striking out three. The Cubs lone run came in the first inning off a leadoff homerun from outfielder Kosuke Fukodome.

Hunter Pence extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a single, while Jason Michaels hit his first homer of the season to tie the game 1-1 in the second -- a shot to right off Cubs starter Doug Davis (0-4). Keppinger, Carlos Lee and Clint Barmes also had a pair of hits each. Center-fielder Michael Bourn hit the go-ahead two-run single in the 7th to give Houston the win.

It was Houston's first series sweep this season and first three-game sweep since downing St. Louis last September. It was also the first time the Astros swept the Cubs in a three-game set since September 2008. Houston will continue their road trip on Thursday by opening up a four game set against the San Diego Padres.
