The Houston Astros (18-7) now own the best record in the American League after completing a four-game sweep over the Seattle Mariners (10-15) on Sunday. The Astros are now enjoying their best-ever start in franchise history and a seven game lead over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

The Astros suffered a hiccup in their course of getting their 10th win in a row. They gave up a 6-1 lead before Evan Gattis' solo homer in the eighth put them up for good at 7-6.  Gattis ended up hitting two home runs in the game as he also hit a three-run homer in the first.

Roberto Hernandez pitched six-plus innings for the Astros and he was in line for the win, but Tony Sipp allowed three inherited runners to score and that tied the game at 6-6 after seven innings.

Pat Neshek pitched a scoreless eighth inning to earn his second win of the season and Luke Gregerson earned his sixth save by pitching the ninth inning.

The Astros have won 10 straight games for the first time since 2004. Their 10 game winning streak has been a three-game sweep at Oakland, a three-game sweep at San Diego and a four-game sweep against Seattle.

Monday night, the Astros start a three-game series against the Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park. AstroLaunch pregame starts at 6:45pm, with first pitch at 7:10pm on 1340 The Fan.
