Houston Astros Trade Bud Norris to Baltimore, Send Justin Maxwell to Kansas City

The Houston Astros are dealing before the 2013 Trade deadline and have made deals with teams seeking the post-season.

The Astros sent starting pitcher Bud Norris to the Baltimore Orioles for left fielder L.J. Hoes and left-handed minor league pitcher Josh Hader.

Maxwell has played in only 40 games this season after breaking his hand after a hit by pitch in late April. Maxwell is currently hitting .241 with two homers and eight RBI. Maxwell

Norris was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday night, ironically, against the Orioles.

The Astros also sent outfielder Justin Maxwell to the resurgent Kansas City Royals for minor league pitcher Kyle Smith, according to the Kansas City Star.
